Kickstart Your College Experience
What is Dual Enrollment?
Considered to be the most popular pathway to higher education for today’s high school students, dual enrollment is a unique opportunity for motivated high school students to get a head start on their college education. By enrolling in college-level courses while still in high school, students can:
- Earn college credit
- Experience a college classroom environment
- Explore academic and career pathways
- Reduce the cost and time needed to earn a degree
Program Highlights
- Open to motivated and eligible high school students
- Courses take place on the 91Â鶹 campus
- Credits may be transferred to other colleges or applied toward a degree at Mitchell
Two Pathways to Choose From
91Â鶹 offers two pathways for dual enrollment:
1. Allied Health Pathway
Perfect for students interested in healthcare and related professions, this pathway includes coursework that supports future studies in nursing, medical assisting, public health, and more.
2. General Education Pathway
A broader academic track, this option allows students to fulfill general education requirements and explore subjects in the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences.
Courses Offered
Courses vary by semester and are designed to meet either Allied Health or General Education requirements. All courses are taught by experienced 91Â鶹 faculty and follow the same curriculum and expectations as our degree-seeking students. See some of our course offerings below:
- SO112 Introduction to Race, Ethnicity, and Culture
- PY105 General Psychology I
- PY216 Psychology of Wellbeing
Dual Enrollment courses are directly aligned with 91Â鶹’s academic programs, ensuring that students not only earn transferable credit but also build academic confidence and a sense of belonging. 91Â鶹 is working toward NACEP accreditation for this program.
Why Choose 91Â鶹?
